A Swiss foundation in its proper time.
Not yet. But it will be.
The Fondation Recognitio does not exist yet — and we are being careful not to call ourselves one prematurely.
Under Swiss law, a Fondation is a distinct legal form with strict requirements: significant endowment capital, formal deed of foundation, supervisory authority oversight. It is not a name that can be chosen casually. It is a legal status that must be earned.
Association first. Foundation in due course.
The work of maintaining a public ledger of commercial trust is, for now, carried by the Association Recognitio — a Swiss non-profit association in formation. Swiss associations (Vereine / Associations, Articles 60–79 of the Swiss Civil Code) offer legal personhood, governance, and accountability without requiring foundational capital.
Once the Association has matured — with proven activity, sufficient endowment, and a clear public mission — it intends to transition to a formal Fondation under Articles 80–89 of the Swiss Civil Code. That transition will happen when it is legally and financially appropriate, and not before.
Until then, this domain stands as a placeholder — a quiet commitment to a future legal form, not a present claim to it.
